“So we looked around where I live in North Hills but my mom wanted to be here because she knows some people here. It wasn’t convenient but I sad, ‘Okay, whatever you want.’ I’m so satisfied I made that decision for them because I couldn't be more satisfied with Amber Woods. The people go above and beyond. So I’m glad I made that decision. They love everything. They have so many good activities. I guess to say what they like the best would be the people. Everyone is so kind and compassionate and caring. I like everything too. I mean, it’s a relief to me to have them here because I don’t have to worry about them constantly because I know they’re getting outstanding care as they try to get her involved with helping. Because there’s not a thing wrong with my mother now and it’s hard for her to be here. But they get her involved. She helps with everything. She feels important. She feels needed. Which is so nice for her. But she’s here with my father. And my father is alive because of my mom and this facility. The most important thing to me is that my parents are getting outstanding care and I don’t have to worry about them 24/7.”
“We went to various homes, went through them, and we decided that this was the nicest place. The facility is maintained perfectly. It is very clean. You can tell when you go into the rooms they’re immaculate. And they’re maintained that way and I can say that because I’ve been here seven years and that hasn’t changed. It is a very clean facility. She enjoys singing along, they have sing-a-longs, they have an awful lot of activities here. They have Friday trips where they go out and eat at different restaurants, and they go to different places to shop, so that gives the people an opportunity to go out and shop, and of course they’ll take people on wheelchairs if need be. They have a van that can take care of almost anybody if the individuals want to participate. I think the greatest thing is she feels like she’s at home here. She feels comfortable and secure here. That is a big issue, that is a big issue that I see. And that’s why I feel good about it. It’s a win-win situation.”
